baking fun

I am terrible at making dinners for my family. I don't like cooking. Baking on the other hand is completely different. I love baking. It is fun, and relaxing. The results are better. :)
I've seen so many cute treats for valentines on the blogs lately. So I decided I better start early if I want to make them all. :) I'm sure my boys won't object.
We love peanutbutter and chocolate in this house. So peanut blossom cookies are a favorite around here. When I saw a version made with Reese's peanutbutter cup hearts on them, I knew I had to make them. (sorry I don't remember whose blog I saw these on)
I used the recipe for peanut blossoms that you can find on the back of a bag of hershey kisses.

I used about 1 1/2 bags of the reese's hearts.

They were sooo good. Even better than with the kisses. Now I have something delicious to offer my Dad when he gets here to finish up my kitchen remodel.
