invites

I had to make 20+ baby shower invites so I borrowed New Arrival for that (got a lot of other use out of it before I had to return in)

They turned out a little more plain then I intended, but I think the clean look works for these. Tonight I am finishing writing all the info on the inside. Then I just need to get all the addresses and I can send them out. I have a few more baby cards to make (1 neighbor just had a baby and another is due soon), then I can move on to other things. :)

Mini album

Working on lots of baby stuff lately. I created this 5x7 mini album for a friend of mine. I made it out of cardstock cards which are sewn together. I fell in love with this paper line, Baby Bee by Crate Paper. Crate paper is always awesome quality and this line is no exception.

Each page has a spot for a photo and journaling I made tabs for each page and decided to lable them by date rather than age.
This album was inspired by a similar album I saw on http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/ in the designer garden. I love how it turned out so much that I may have to create something similar for myself. :)

Beep!

Just a quick card using the truck cut from the new arrival cart.

Happy Earth day everyone! We were hoping to do a volunteer project, but I was unable to find any around here that were suitable for the boys. Instead we picked up litter at a park nearby and we hope to spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying nature. :)

Baby stuff

My friend lent me the New Arrival cartridge for the cricut. I am having so much fun with it! I have been working on a ton of stuff, but can't show you here yet. Soon though.

I finished this diaper cake tonight. I am really happy with how it turned out. It has washcloth "roses" with baby spoons for the stems, and the cute elephant on top is holding a baby lollipop. I also tied on one of my paper baby shoes. The back of the ribbons are stitched together and the ribbon on top is tied in bows. (wasn't able to get a good detail shot of the stitching) I forgot to take a picture after I wrapped it up. Out of pure laziness I will just tell you about it instead of going and taking more pictures. I wrapped it in tulle and tied it with the green ribbon and attached a cute elephant tag.

Now that I am back in the swing of things, I should update regularly again. :)

Slow start

I'm back from vaca and feel so refreshed. I am slow to get back to real life though. I have a mountain of dirty laundry to tackle and a calendar jam packed with appointments this week. I've got an order of cards to finish and I've been itching to scrapbook again. All I really want to do is go read a book by the ocean. ;)

So, tonight I ordered pics of the trip. I should get those in a few days. I have a few fun projects in mind for those. I'm hoping to get a few cards done tonight and should be able to share those tomorrow. For now though, I've got no new things to share instead I will leave you with a fun photo from our trip.

The boys loved the sea turtles at the aquarium. This one is a female and lives in a large tank with her sister. They were 30 years old and an aquarium volunteer informed us that they live to be about 85 years old. (We were under the impression that they lived to be older than 100 years...thanks to Crush on Finding Nemo)

Sunshine State

I was hoping to have something to share before I left for vacation, but with packing, cleaning, and taking care of a puppy I just haven't had time. Guess I will just have to do something extra special when I return.

~Christina, don't forget to send your address, and I will send out your package when I return.

And the winner is...

Christina! Just send your full name and address to junke242000(at)yahoo(dot)com and I will get the prize out to you. :)

I finished this set of 8 cards for my Aunt. Love this paper, it is all glittery! It is Karen Neuburger's Sorbet line. She will be attaching a picture of each of her daycare kids and then giving them to the mothers for mother's day. The back of the insert has a magnet so it can be put on the fridge. I really like how they turned out and may need to use the extra paper to make one for myself.
